The Ice Twins – S.K Tremayne

I think I’ve written and rewritten this post about 20 times now; there’s so much I want to say about this book but don’t know where to begin…

Let’s start with saying how far away this is from the usual historical romances I obsessively read, it’s on the opposite side of the spectrum which is why the scardey-cat in me was so reluctant to begin reading. (I guess I’ll add that I didn’t choose this book, I was given it for my birthday).
I’ll give a brief summary: the parents of identical twin sisters are distraught and taunted with memories when one dies so they decide to pack up and relocate to a solitary island, only to hear that their daughter claims to be the one that they buried not one year ago… Creepy right? It has all the elements of a horror movie but with an extremely unreliable narrative which makes you question the whole book.

The English graduate in me analysed this book for weeks after I finished it and I still can’t decide on whether or not I liked it! It’s definitely worth a read but bear in mind not everything is as it seems…
